AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Coldwater Creek
Trunk Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County which
could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the
District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict.
WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from all
of the owners of the land in said area, praying for annexation to
both the District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District and such Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the
existing sewers of the District and Subdistrict are adequate to
handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interests of
sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by
including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from
the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through
public sanitary sewers other than those of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at the northeastern corner of Lot 13, Block
11 of Berkeley Garden Homesites, a subdivision of St. Louis
County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat
Book 18, page 46 of the St. Louis County Records, which point of
beginning is also a point on the existing boundary of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence westwardly, along
the northern line of said Lot 13 a record distance of 11.74 feet
to the northernmost corner thereof, which is a part of the
existing District boundary; thence southwestwardly, along the
northwest line of said Lot 13, a distance of approximately 5.90
feet, to its intersection with the eastern corner of Lot 18 of
Boulevard Frontage, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri,
according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 36, page 31 of
the St. Louis County Records, such line being also a part of the
existing District boundary; thence northwestwardly along the
northeast line of said Lot 18, which is also part of the existing
District boundaries, a distance of 182 feet to a point; thence
South 45 degrees, 48 minutes 48 seconds West a distance of
approximately 200 feet to the centerline of Florence Avenue 50
feet wide; thence southeastwardly along said centerline to its
intersection with the centerline of the portion of Florence Avenue
40 feet wide; thence eastwardly along said centerline of Florence
Avenue 40 feet wide to its intersection with the southern
prolongation of the eastern line of aforesaid Lot 13, Block 11,
Berkeley Garden Homesites; thence northwardly along said
prolongation and along said eastern line to the northeastern
corner of said Lot 13, the point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petitions praying for annexation
were signed by all of the owners of the land in said area.
Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and -2-
public health of the District will be promoted by including the
area in its territory.
Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek
Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above
described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 11, 1968.
