HomeMy Public PortalAbout01756 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1756 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County, Missouri, which could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area therein; praying for annexation to both the District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and such Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the existing sewers of the District and Subdistrict are adequate to handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: 2 Beginning at a point in the existing boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District as established by Ordinance No. 1164 of said Sewer District, and being in the western line of Lot 1 of OAK FOREST, a subdivision in St. Louis County, Missouri, as per plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 15, page 64, St. Louis County Recorder's office, distant northwardly along said lot line 25 feet from the southwestern corner of said Lot 1; thence southwardly 25.00 feet along the western line of said Lot 1 to its southwestern corner; thence westwardly along the southern lines of Lots 2 - 5, inclusive, of aforesaid OAK FOREST Subdivision, 389.76 feet to the southwestern corner of said Lot 5; thence northwardly 231 feet, more or less, along the western line of Lot 5, and its northwardly prolongation, to the centerline of St. Charles Rock Road; thence eastwardly along said road centerline 360 feet, more or less, to its intersection with the southwardly prolongation of the western line of property conveyed to Celeste Singer by deed recorded in Book 6322, page 1056, said Recorder's office; thence northwardly along said southwardly prolongation, and along the western line of said Singer property, 319.80 feet to the northernmost corner of said Singer property which is also is a point in the western line of Lot 2 of the Subdivision of the Johnson Post Estate, being also in the western line of property conveyed to Oliver W. Branneky and wife by deed recorded in Book 2304, page 14, said Recorder's office; thence southwardly along the western line of said Branneky property, 3 87.56 feet to the northwestern corner of property conveyed to Oliver Charles Branneky and wife by deed recorded in Book 3049, page 595; thence southwardly along the western line of said Oliver Charles Branneky property and its straight southwardly prolongation, 265.60 feet to the centerline of St. Charles Rock Road which western line and prolongation are also a part of the existing District Boundary; thence westwardly along said centerline, 90 feet, more or less, to its intersection with the northwardly prolongation of the western line of said Lot 1 of OAK FOREST; thence southwardly along said prolongation and along said western line of Lot 1, 205 feet to the beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the majority of the owners who own more than one- half of the land in said area. Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this ordinance shall 4 be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 10, 1968.
