HomeMy Public PortalAbout01772 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1772 AN ORDINANCE authorizing the Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to purchase from the owner thereof certain real property in City Block 3224 in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, to be used for improvement of drainage at Lemay Pump Station No. 1 under the Water Pollution Abatement Program, part of Contract PA-4, prescribing terms, and containing an emergency clause. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director and the Secretary- Treasurer of the District are authorized to purchase from the owner thereof, the following real property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, to be used for improvement of drainage at the Lemay Pump Station No. 1 under the Water Pollution Abatement Program, part of Contract PA-4, at a price not to exceed Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00), said property to be free of all encumbrances, said property described as follows: A parcel of land with improvements located at 8507 Michigan Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri, described as: Lots 12, 13, and 14 of BLOW AND EWINGS SUBDIVISION and in BLOCK 3224 of the CITY OF ST. LOUIS, fronting 75 feet on the west line of Michigan Avenue by a depth westwardly of 138 feet and 5 inches, more or less, to an alley; bounded on the north by Espenschied Street. Section Two. Upon the execution and delivery to them by the said owner of a Warranty Deed in proper form, being free from liens and encumbrances, conveying title to the said land to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer shall be and are hereby authorized and directed to pay to said owner, for the said land, the total sum of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00). Section Three. An emergency exists within the meaning of the Plan, since the realty is needed for the protection of the public health and the purchase must be arranged for without delay. Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 14, 1968. -2-
