HomeMy Public PortalAbout01782 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1782 AN ORDINANCE vacating a portion of sewer easement in the City of St. Louis, Missouri. WHEREAS, the City of St. Louis, by Ordinance No. 22,999, has vacated part of President Street (60 feet wide) between the Missouri Pacific Railroad Right of Way and the Harbor of the City of St. Louis, reserving, however an easement for sewer purposes over such portion of former street, and WHEREAS, The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District is successor in title to said easement, and WHEREAS, the Owner of the subject property has requested this District to vacate a portion of such easement, and this District has no further need for such portion of easement, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The following described portion of sewer easement is hereby vacated, to wit: A portion of that easement reserved by the City of St. Louis by Ordinance No. 22,999, over part of former President Street of the City of St. Louis, which portion is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the northeasterly line of former President Street, (60 feet wide) and the southeastwardly line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company right-of-way, (50 feet wide); thence southeastwardly along a line South 22 degrees, 56 minutes 99.3 seconds East and parallel with the easterly line of the existing easement for the relocated President Street pressure sewer to the point of intersection with a line parallel with and ten feet distant eastwardly from the southwesterly line of said former President Street; thence southeastwardly along said parallel line to a point fifty-five feet distant along said parallel line from its point of intersection with the inner harbor line of the Mississippi River; thence northeastwardly along a line North 60 degrees, 40 minutes 45.72 seconds East and parallel with the northwesterly line of the existing easement for the Corps of Engineers Flood Protection Wall to the intersection with the said southeasterly line of former President Street; thence northwestwardly along said line to the point of beginning. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 29, 1968. -2-
