AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with McCarthy
Brothers Construction Company for the construction of interception
and diversion sewer facilities from Fillmore Street to Lemay Pump
Station No. 1, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to McCarthy Brothers Construction Company, as
the lowest responsible bidder, for the construction of
interception and diversion sewer facilities from Fillmore Street
to Lemay Pump Station No. 1, of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 14th day of
August, 1968 and formally executed on the 11th day of September,
1968, by said contractor and by the Executive Director and the
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District, in the following
form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be
constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, an emergency exists within the meaning of the Plan, and
this Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon its
adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 12, 1968.
