HomeMy Public PortalAbout01799 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1799 AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with Gampco Incorporated, Contractors & Engineers, for the construction of foulwater interceptors and interceptor sewers to be constructed for the Mississippi River Subdistrict as part of the Bissell Treatment Plant system from Ferry Street to O'Fallon Street, with an emergency clause. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Gampco Incorporated, Contractors & Engineers, as the lowest responsible bidder, for the construction of foulwater interceptors and interceptor sewers to be constructed for the Mississippi River Subdistrict as part of the Bissell Treatment Plant system, of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 5th day of September, 1968 and formally executed on the 8th day of October, 1968, by said contractor and by the Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District, in the following form: is hereby confirmed. Section Two. This Ordinance being for the construction of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be constructed being necessary for the protection of the public health, an emergency exists within the meaning of the Plan, and this Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 11, 1968. -2-
