HomeMy Public PortalAbout01804AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1809 REPEALED BY ORDINANCE NO. 1967 - 11/12/69 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1804 AN ORDINANCE, repealing Ordinance No. 1655 adopted September 7, 1967, which regulated employer and employee relations between The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and all employees in the classified service by providing a classification and compensation plan, and enacting a new ordinance on the same subject in lieu thereof, with an emergency clause. WHEREAS, the Civil Service Commission has recommended adoption of such revised compensation schedules in keeping with the provisions of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Ordinance No. 1655 adopted September 7, 1967 is hereby repealed and superseded. Section Two. Classification Plan. It is found and hereby declared that the difficulty in filling vacancies in the classified service and the loss of well qualified employees by resignation because of compensation which fails to meet the requirements of Plan Section 8.070 creates an emergency within the meaning of the Plan. Accordingly, this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted October 24, 1968. -9-
