AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with Millstone
Associates, Inc., for the construction of Interceptor and
Diversion Facilities for the Bissell Treatment Plant system of the
Mississippi River Subdistrict, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Millstone Associates, Inc., as the lowest
responsible bidder, for the construction of Interceptor and
Diversion Facilities in the area from Dakota Street to Barton
Street, including two sewage pumping stations, pipe lines of
various sizes, manholes and other appurtenances, to be constructed
for the Mississippi River Subdistrict as part of the Bissell
Treatment Plant system, of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 8th day of
October, 1968 and formally executed on the 6th day of November,
1968, by said contractor and by the Executive Director and the
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District, in the following
form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be
constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, an emergency exists within the meaning of the Plan, and
this ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon its
adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 7, 1968.
