HomeMy Public PortalAbout01816 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1816 AN ORDINANCE, amending Section Two of Ordinance No. 1394, adopted October 5, 1965 and revising the boundaries of Subdistrict No. 263 (Buckley and Sappington Barracks) of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Ordinance No. 1394, adopted October 5, 1965 is hereby amended by eliminating from the boundaries of Subdistrict No. 263 (Buckley and Sappington Barracks), as set forth in Section Two thereof, an area described as follows: Beginning in the northeastern line of U.S. Highway I-255, at the westernmost corner of property conveyed to Arthur H. Knigge and wife by deed recorded in Book 6122, Page 523, St. Louis county Recorder's office; thence northeastwardly along the northwest line of said Knigge property, 135.1 feet to the northernmost corner of said Knigge property in the southwest line of property conveyed to Carl Alsbach and wife by deed recorded in Book 4258, Page 488, said Recorder's office; thence northwestwardly along said southwest line, 121.08 feet to the westernmost corner of said Alsbach property, being in a line 283.604 feet southeastwardly from and parallel with the northwestern line of Lot 107 of Carondelet Commons South of River des Peres; thence northeastwardly along said parallel line, 457.80 feet to the westernmost corner of property conveyed to Leroy Trenz and wife by deed recorded in Book 2199, Page 43, said Recorder's office; 2 thence southeastwardly along the southwest lien of said Trenz property, 237.91 feet to its intersection with the northwestern line of Arthel Drive, 30 feet wide, as established by instrument recorded in Book 1807, Page 549, said Recorder's office; thence southeastwardly in a straight line across said Arthel Drive to the point of intersection of the southeastern line of said Drive with the southwestern line of property conveyed to Charles M. Schnaare and wife by deed recorded in Book 6327, Page 287, aid Recorder's office; thence southeastwardly 255 feet along the southwest line of said Schnaare property to it southernmost corner in the northwestern line of "Lindbergh Terrace," a subdivision as per plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 59, Page 47, St. Louis County Recorder's office; thence southwestwardly along the northwest line of said subdivision, 500 feet, more or less, to the easternmost corner of property conveyed to the State of Missouri for highway purposes by deed recorded in Book 6070, Page 541, said Recorder's office; thence northwestwardly along the northeastern line of U.S. Highway I-244, being on a curve to the left, having a radius of 4,039.83 feet, a distance of 374 feet, more or less, to a point of tangency at Point "A", as described in instrument recorded in Book 6065, Page 230, said Recorder's office; thence continuing northwestwardly along the northeastern line of U.S. Highway I-244, a distance of 45.40 feet to the beginning. For the reason that the Board of Trustees finds that such property would not be benefitted by the proposed sewer facilities to be constructed in 3 such subdistrict. Section Two. Section Two of said Ordinance No. 1394 as hereby amended shall read as follows: "Section Two. The boundaries of Subdistrict No. 263 (Buckley and Sappington Barracks) shall be as follows: (SEE NEXT PAGE) 4 Buckley and Sappington Barracks Beginning in the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard, at its intersection with the southwestern prolongation of the southeastern line of property conveyed to Oscar T. T. Hagemann and wife by deed recorded in Book 2575, page 240, St. Louis County Recorder's office, thence northwestwardly along the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard to its intersection with the southwestern prolongation of the southeastern line of property conveyed to Samuel LaRole and wife, by deed recorded in Book 1952, page 141, St. Louis County Recorder's office; thence northeastwardly along said prolongation and along said southeastern line to the easternmost corner of said LaRole property; thence northwestwardly along the northeastern line of said LaRole property to its intersection with the northwestern line of property conveyed to Elmer C. Adams and wife, by deed recorded in Book 1839, page 24, said Recorder's office; thence northeastwardly along the northwestern line of said Adams property and its prolongation northeastwardly to its intersection with the centerline of Adworth Drive; thence southeastwardly along the centerline of Adworth Drive to its intersection with the southwestern prolongation of a line 250 feet northwestwardly of and parallel with the southeastern line of property conveyed to Gus C. Schumann and wife, by deed recorded in Book 1829, page 168, said Recorder's office; thence northeastwardly along said prolongation and along 5 said parallel line to its intersection with the northeastern line of said Schumann property, said line also being the southwestern line of Poplar Court (An amended Plat of Lots 7 thru 24 -Block 2)," a subdivision as per plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 69, page 32 of said Recorder's office; thence southeastwardly along said southwestern line to the southernmost corner of Lot 21 in Block 2 of said subdivision; thence northeastwardly along the southeast line of Lot 21 to the easternmost corner thereof; thence northeastwardly across Druso Drive to the westernmost corner of Lot 16, Block 1 of Poplar Court, a subdivision as per plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 66, page 2, said Recorder's office; thence northeastwardly along the northwestern line of said Lot 16 to the northernmost corner thereof; thence southeastwardly along the northeastern line of Lots 16, 17 and 18 of said Poplar Court, and the southeastwardly prolongation thereof, to the centerline of Berview Lane; thence northeastwardly along the centerline of Berview Lane to its intersection with the westwardly prolongation of the northern line of property conveyed to A.L. Emmenegger and wife, by deed recorded in Book 2756, page 93, of said Recorder's office; thence eastwardly along said prolongation and along said northern line to the easternmost corner of said Emmenegger property, said corner being in the northwestern line of property conveyed to Adolph Schwenger and wife, by deed recorded in Book 3511, page 466, said Recorder's office; thence northeastwardly along said northwestern line of said Schwenger property to the 6 northwestern corner thereof; thence southeastwardly along the northeastern line of said Schwenger property to the northeastern corner thereof; thence southwestwardly along the southeastern line of said Schwenger property, and its prolongation southwestwardly, to its intersection with the centerline of Victory Drive; thence southeastwardly along the centerline of Victory Drive to its intersection with the northeastern prolongation of the northwestern line of Southmont, a subdivision as per plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 79, page 36, said Recorder's office; thence southwestwardly along said prolongation and along said northwestern line to the westernmost corner of said subdivision; thence southeastwardly along the southwestern line of said subdivision to the southernmost corner of said subdivision; thence northeastwardly along the southeastern line of said subdivision to its intersection with the southwestern line of property conveyed to Fred J. Langhorst, by deed recorded in Book 1608, page 386, said Recorder's office; thence southeastwardly along said southwestern line and its prolongation southeastwardly to its intersection with the centerline of Buckley Road, (40 feet wide); thence southwestwardly along the centerline of Buckley Road to its intersection with the northwestern prolongation of the southwestern line of El Ray Court, a subdivision, as per plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 102, page 31, said Recorder's office; thence southeastwardly along said prolongation and along said southwestern line of said subdivision to its intersection 7 with a line 170 feet southeastwardly from, and parallel to, the centerline of Buckley Road, (measured at right angles thereto); thence southwestwardly along said parallel line to its intersection with a line at right angles to the centerline of Buckley and through a point 550 feet southwestwardly from the southwestern corner of said El Ray Court, as measured along the southeastern line of Buckley Road; thence northwestwardly along the last described line to its intersection with the centerline of Buckley Road; thence southwestwardly along the centerline of Buckley Road, 400 feet; thence southeastwardly along a line at right angles to the centerline of Buckley Road, to its intersection with a line 170 feet southeastwardly from, and parallel to, the centerline of Buckley Road; thence southwestwardly along said parallel line to its intersection with the centerline of Sappington Barracks Road; thence along the centerline of Sappington Barracks Road in a generally westwardly direction to its intersection with the southwestern prolongation of the centerline of Haverhill Drive, 50 feet wide; thence northeastwardly along said prolongation and along the centerline of Haverhill Drive to the southeastern prolongation of the southwest line of Lot 3 of Lindbergh Terrace, a subdivision as per plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 59, page 47, St. Louis County Recorder's office; thence northeastwardly along said prolongation and along said southwestern line of said Lot 3 to the westernmost corner thereof; thence northeastwardly along the northwestern line 8 of said Lindbergh Terrace, to the southernmost corner of property conveyed to Charles M. Schnaare and wife by deed recorded in Book 6327, page 287, said Recorder's office; thence northwestwardly along the southwestern line of said Schnaare property to its intersection with the southeastern line of Arthel Drive, 30 feet wide, as established by instrument recorded in Book 1807, page 549, said Recorder's office; thence northwestwardly in a straight line across said Arthel Drive to the point of intersection of the northwestern line of said drive with the southwestern line of property conveyed to Leroy Trenz and wife by deed recorded in Book 2199, page 43, said Recorder's office; thence northwestwardly along the southwest line of said Trenz property to its westernmost corner in a line parallel with, and 283.604 feet southeastwardly from, the northwestern line of Lot 107 of Carondelet Commons south of River des Peres; thence southwestwardly along said parallel line, 457.80 feet to the westernmost corner of property conveyed to Carl Alsbach and wife by deed recorded in Book 4258, page 488, said Recorder's office, being in the northeastern line of said Hagemann property; thence southeastwardly along the northeastern line of said Hagemann property to its easternmost corner; thence southwestwardly along the southeast line of said Hagemann property, and its southwestern prolongation, to the beginning. 9 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 26, 1968.
