AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with G. L. Tarlton
Contracting Company for the construction of foulwater interceptors
and interceptor sewers for the Bissell Treatment Plant system of
the Mississippi River Subdistrict, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to G. L. Tarlton Contracting Company, as the
lowest responsible bidder, for the construction of foulwater
interceptors and interceptor sewers from Maline Creek to Prairie
Street, to be constructed for the Mississippi River Subdistrict as
part of the Bissell Treatment Plant system, of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on
the 31st day of October, 1968 and formally executed on the 11th
day of December, 1968, by said contractor and by the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District, in
the following form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be
constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, an emergency exists within the meaning of the Plan, and
this ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 12, 1968.
