O R D I N A N C E NO. 1833 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to purchase from the owner thereof certain real property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, to be used as a portion of the site for the main administrative office and maintenance facilities of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, prescribing terms, and containing an emergency clause. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer of the District are authorized to purchase from the owner thereof, the following real property in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, to be used as a site for the main administrative office and maintenance facilities of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, at a price not to exceed Eighty-four Thousand One Hundred Seventy-nine Dollars and fifteen cents ($84,179.15), said property to be free of all encumbrances, said property described as follows: A tract of land being parts of Blocks 4636N and 4021 of the City of St. Louis, Missouri, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of property conveyed to Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District by deed recorded in Book 8053, page 32, City of St. Louis Recorder's office, being also at the southernmost corner of property conveyed to said Sewer District by deed recorded in Book 8198, page 57, said Recorder's office; thence along the southern and eastern lines of said last
described property, N.12Ε10'E., 360.02' to the northeast corner of said property in the southern line on the River des Peres Drainage Works; thence eastwardly 65.58', more or less, along the southern line of said Drainage Works, on the arc of a curve to the right, having a radius of 5,432.65', (the chord of which arc bears
N.78Ε21'45"E., 65.57') to the northwest corner of property conveyed to the City of St. Louis, Missouri by deed recorded in Book 8787, page 167, said Recorder's office; thence along the
western line of said property of the City of St. Louis S.12Ε10'W., 654.43' to the southwest corner thereof in the northern line of property conveyed to the State of Missouri for use as right-of-way for Highway I-244, by deed recorded in Book 8357, page 510, said
Recorder's office; thence along said northern line S. 86Ε07'13" W., 124.55' to an angle point therein; thence along the eastern and northern lines of said property conveyed to the State of
Missouri, the following courses and distances: N.08Ε26'01"E.,
70.00', S.81Ε33'59" E., 37.50', N.39Ε26'01"E., 178.00', N.
50Ε33'59" W., 90.00', S.39Ε26'01" W., 102.50', S.87Ε06'42"W.,
180.00' and N.85Ε01'07"W., 213.13' to the beginning; and containing 84,179.15 square feet (= 1.9325 Acres). Section Two. Upon the execution an delivery to them by
said owner of a Warranty Deed in proper form, being free from liens and encumbrances, The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 27, 1968.
