HomeMy Public PortalAbout01836 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1836 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County, Missouri, which could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area therein, praying for annexation to both the District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and such Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the existing sewers of the District and Subdistrict are adequate to handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory: and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: 2 Beginning at a point in the original boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, such point being the southeast corner of Lot 32 of Tower View, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 19, page 16 of the St. Louis County Records; thence westwardly along the south lines of Lots 32, 33 and the eastern portion of Lot 34, all of said subdivision to its intersection with the north-south centerline of said Lot 34; thence northwardly in a straight line along such north-south centerline and its northwardly extension across Clarendon Avenue (50 feet wide) and continuing northwardly along the north-south centerline of Lot 13 of aforesaid subdivision to its intersection with the north line of said Lot 13; thence eastwardly along the north line of Lots 13, 14 and 15 of said subdivision to the northeast corner of said Lot 15, which is a point on the existing boundary of the District; thence southwardly along the original boundary of the District to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the majority of the owners who own more than one- half of the land in said area. Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public 3 sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 8, 1969.
