Luth & Sons, Inc. for the construction of interceptor and diversion facilities for the Lemay Sewage Treatment Plant of the Mississippi River Subdistrict, with an emergency clause. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The contract heretofore let by the Executive Director to Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc., as the lowest responsible bidder, for the construction of interceptor and diversion facilities, to be constructed for the Mississippi River Subdistrict, Lemay Sewage Treatment Plant to Jefferson Barracks, construction to be located parallel to the Missouri-Pacific Railroad between the Lemay Sewage Treatment Plant and the Jefferson Barracks Railroad Station, of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 27th day of December, 1968 and formally executed on the 14th day of January, 1969, by said contractor and by the Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District, in the following form: is hereby confirmed. Section Two. This ordinance being for the confirmation of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be constructed being necessary for the protection of the public health, an emergency exists within the meaning of the Plan, and this ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted January 23, 1969. -2-
