AN ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer to sell certain real estate
belonging to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, located in
City Block 3779 to Gillespie Powers, Inc., a Missouri Corporation.
WHEREAS, the needs of the District Maintenance
Department no longer require a maintenance facility at this
location, and
WHEREAS, Gillespie Powers, Inc., a Missouri Corporation
has offered a fair price for the purchase of said property.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to sell, at the price
of Nineteen Thousand Dollars ($19,000.00), certain real estate
belonging to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
Gillespie Powers, Inc., a Missouri Corporation; said real estate
is described as follows to wit:
Lot 22 and the Eastern part of Lot 23 of HARRINGTON'S
SUBDIVISION, and in Block 3779 of the City of St. Louis, together
fronting 54 feet 6 inches on the North line of Easton Avenue, by a
depth Northwardly on its East line of 266 feet 6-1/2 inches by a
depth on the West line of 270 feet, more or less, to an alley, on
which there is a width of 51 feet 4-1/2 inches.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby directed to execute and deliver a general
warranty deed to Gillespie Powers, Inc., a Missouri Corporation
for the above described property on payment to The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District of the sum of Nineteen Thousand Dollars
($19,000.00).
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 20, 1969.
