AN ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer to sell certain real estate
belonging to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, located in
the County of St. Louis and being a portion of the Leffingwell
Treatment Plant property to Gillespie Powers, Inc., a Missouri
Corporation.
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District no
longer operates a treatment facility at the Leffingwell Treatment
Plant and no longer has a need for this property, and
WHEREAS, Gillespie Powers, Inc., a Missouri Corporation
has offered a fair price for said property,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to sell, at the price
of Twenty-one Thousand Eighty-two Dollars ($21,082.00) certain
real estate belonging to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
to Gillespie & Powers, Inc., a Missouri Corporation; said real
estate is described as follows to wit:
PARCEL 1: Part of Lots 68 and 69 of EAST KIRKWOOD, in
St. Louis County, Missouri, and described as: Beginning at a point
in the West line of Clark Avenue at its intersection with the
Southeast corner of property conveyed to the Kirkwood School
District by deed recorded in Book 2097, Page 413 of the St. Louis
County Records; thence running North 88 degrees, 49 minutes West

along the south line of said School District lot, 580.8 feet to a
point, said point being the most Southeast corner of Lot 7 of the
resubdivision of part of Lot 68 of East Kirkwood Plat No. 1;
thence along the Southeast line of said Lot 7, South 60 degrees,
51 minutes West, 39.8 feet to a point in the Northeast line of
Leffingwell Avenue; thence along the Northeast line of said Avenue
South 68 degrees, 16 minutes East, 423.72 feet to a point; thence
leaving said Avenue and running North 72 degrees, 37 minutes East,
230.43 feet, more or less, to a point in the West line of Clark
Avenue and thence North along the West line of Clark Avenue 95.58
feet to the point of beginning.
PARCEL 2: Part of Lot 69 of EAST KIRKWOOD, in St.
Louis County, Missouri, described as: Beginning at a point in the
West line of Clark Avenue at its intersection with the Northwest
line of the right-of-way of the St. Louis and San Francisco
Railway Company; thence running North 1 degree, 11 minutes East
along the West line of Clark Avenue 79.12 feet to a point; thence
South 72 degrees, 37 minutes West 230.43 feet, more or less, to a
point in the Northeast line of Leffingwell Avenue; thence running
along the Northeast line of Leffingwell Avenue South 68 degrees,
16 minutes East, 118.88 feet, more or less, to the Northwest line
of St. Louis and San Francisco Railroad right-of-way and thence
along said right-of-way North 72 degrees, 37 minutes East, 113
feet to the point of beginning, EXCLUDING AND EXCEPTING from this
conveyance that portion South of a line 60 feet North of, and

parallel at right angles to, the North line of the St. Louis and
San Francisco Railroad said excluded portion contains
approximately 9,597 square feet.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby directed to execute and deliver a general
warranty deed to Gillespie & Powers, Inc., a Missouri Corporation
for the above described property on payment to The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District of the sum of Twenty-one Thousand Eighty-
two Dollars ($21,082.00).
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 20, 1969.
