HomeMy Public PortalAbout01889 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1889 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County, Missouri, which could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the sole owner of the land in said area who owns all of the land area therein, praying for annexation to both the District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and such Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the existing sewers of the District and Subdistrict are adequate to handle all of its sanitary sewage; that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at a point in the original boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, such point being the northeast corner of Lot 62 of Tower View, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri according to the plat thereof recorded in 2 Plat Book 9, page 16 of the St. Louis County Records; thence westwardly along the north line of said Lot 62, which is also the south line of Lot 32 of said subdivision, to its intersection with the north-south centerline of said Lot 62; thence southwardly in a straight line along such north-south centerline and its southwardly extension to the south line of Wurdack Avenue (50 feet wide); thence eastwardly along the south line of Wurdack Avenue a distance of approximately fifty (50) feet o its intersection with the original boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence northwardly along the original boundary of the District to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the sole owner of all of the land in said area. Section Three. That the interest of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this ordinance hall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 15, 1969.
