AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict
to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently
served by the sewer facilities of the District and of the
Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict.
WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the
majority of the owners of the land in said area, who own more than
one-half of the land area therein, praying for annexation to both
the District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Sub-district of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District and such Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the
existing sewers of the District and Subdistrict are adequate to
handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interests of
sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by
including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from
the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through
public sanitary sewers other than those of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilitates
of the District can efficiently serve the area described a-
follows:
Beginning at a point on the centerline of Howdershell Road

(60 feet wide), which is the point of intersection of such
centerline with the southeastwardly prolongation of the northeast
line of Lot 2 of Chatham Church Acres, a subdivision of St. Louis
County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat
Book 119 page 84 of the St. Louis County Records, which point is
also a point on the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St.Louis
Sewer District; thence northwestwardly along said northeast line
of Lot 2(which is also a part of the District boundary as extended
by Ordinance 1562), to the northern corner thereof; thence south-
westwardly, along the northwest line of such Lot 2 (and along Such
District boundary) to the western corner thereof; thence
southeastwardly, along the southwestern line of such Lot 2 (and
along such District boundary) and its southeastern prolongation,
to the aforesaid centerline of Howdershell Road; thence
southwestwardly along said centerline, which is also a part of the
existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, to
its intersection with the southeastern prolongation of the
southwest line of property conveyed to Peter Goulet and wife by
deed recorded in Book 995 page 371 of the St. Louis County
Records; thence northwestwardly along said prolongation and along
said southwest line of Goulet to the western corner of Goulet;
thence North 52 degrees 14 minutes 10 seconds West a distance of
582.36 feet to a point; thence North 52 degrees 6 minutes 5
seconds West a distance of 1863.40 feet to a point; thence North
36 degrees 47 minutes 20 seconds East a distance of 835.30 feet to

its intersection with the southwestern line of Crestwood Acres, a
subdivision of St. Louis County, Mo according to the plat thereof
recorded in Plat Book 43 page 10 of the St. Louis County Records;
thence southeastwardly along he said southwest line of such
subdivision and its southeastwardly prolongation to its
intersection with the centerline of Howdershell Road; thence
southwestwardly along the centerline of Howdershell Road, which is
also a part of the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, to the point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petitions praying for annexation were
signed by the majority of the owners of the land in said area who
own more than one-half of the land area therein.
Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public
health of the District will be promoted by including the area in
its territory.
Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to
be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers
other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict
are hereby extended so as to include the above described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this ordinance shall be
filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County,
the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary
of State.
