HomeMy Public PortalAbout01907 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1907 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the District, the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the Mississippi River Subdistrict. WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the sole owner of the land in said area, praying for annexation to the District, the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and such Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the Mississippi River Subdistrict, and the existing sewers of the District and Subdistricts are adequate to handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer 2 facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centerline of Gravois and Geyer Roads, being a point on the original boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence following said Sewer District boundary, northwardly along the centerline of Geyer Road to a point distant 533.21 feet southwardly there along from its intersection with the centerline of Denny Road; thence North 89 degrees 02 minutes West, 755.24 feet to an angle point in said original boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence leaving said original boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and bearing South 00 degrees 50 minutes West to the south line of Section 19, Township 44 North, Range 6 East; thence eastwardly along the south line of said Section 19 to its intersection with the centerline of Gravois Road; and thence northeastwardly along said centerline to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petitions praying for annexation were signed by the sole owner of the land in said area. Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public 3 sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the Mississippi River Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. 4 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 12, 1969.
