AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Coldwater Creek
Trunk Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County,
Missouri, which could be efficiently served by the sewer
facilities of the District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk
Subdistrict.
WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the
sole owner of the land in said area who owns all of the land area
therein, praying for annexation to both the District and the
Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District and such Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the
existing sewers of the District and Subdistrict are adequate to
handle all of its sanitary sewage; that the interests of
sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by
including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from
the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through
public sanitary sewers other than those of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing boundary line of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District such point being the
intersection of the westward extension of the centerline of
Barkwood Drive (50 feet wide) and the existing District boundary;
thence North 51 degrees 04 minutes 30 seconds West a distance of
383 feet to a point; thence North 38 degrees 55 minutes 30 seconds
East a distance of 625 feet to a point; thence South 51 degrees 04
minutes 30 seconds East a distance of 383 feet, more or less, to
the intersection with the existing District boundary; thence
southwardly along the existing District boundary, a distance of
approximately 625 feet to the point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation
was signed by the sole owner of all of the land in said area.
Section Three. That the interest of sanitation and
public health of the District will be promoted by including the
area in its territory.
Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek
Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above
described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 31, 1969.
