HomeMy Public PortalAbout01937 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1937 AN ORDINANCE, amending Ordinance No. 1804 adopted October 24, 1968, by repealing Section Three thereof and enacting a new Section Three relating to the same subject, compensation of employees in the classified service, with an emergency clause. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. Ordinance No. 1804, adopted October 24, 1968, is hereby amended by repealing Section Three thereof and enacting a new Section Three relating to the same subject, compensation of employees in the classified service, to read as follows: Section Three. Compensation Plan. There is hereby adopted as the official pay schedule for all classification grades for all positions in the classified service as set forth in Section Two the following ranges of salary for each grade contained in the classification plan beginning August 1, 1969. Section Two. It is found and hereby declared that the difficulty in filling vacancies in the classified service and the loss of well qualified employees by resignation because of compensation which fails to meet the requirements of Plan Section 8.070 creates an emergency within the meaning of the Plan. Accordingly this ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted August 15, 1969.
