HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinances-2013-329 • CITY OF TIFFIN ORDINANCE NO. 2013-329 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF TIFFIN, IOWA, CHAPTER 41, PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY, TO CHANGE THE AREAS WHERE HUNTING IS ALLOWED UNDER 41.11. BE IT ENACTED by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa: Section I. Purpose: The purpose of this ordinance is to.amend Section 41.11, Code of Ordinances, to change the areas where hunting is allowed from areas zoned A-1 to all areas. Section II. Amendment:' Section 41.11 of Chapter 41 is hereby replaced with the following: CHAPTER 41 PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY 41.11 HUNTING. Hunting maybe allowed upon application by the landowner to the City to allow hunting on the property. The landowner shall clearly mark those areas upon which hunting is requested. Permission shall be granted unless such activity would be expected to violate any State or Federal law governing the use of firearms Or hunting, including(but not limited to)the provisions of Section 481A.123 of the Code of Iowa. Each person wishing to hunt within city limit's must possess a State of Iowa hunting license. Section III. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinance in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Section IV. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. Section V. When Effective.,This ordinance shall be in effect after its final passage, approval, and posting as provided by law.
