HomeMy Public PortalAbout01948 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1948 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating the sum of Thirty-Four Thousand Dollars ($34,000.00) from the Coldwater Creek Sewer Extension Fund to be used to pay the cost of the construction of a Styrofoam Dome over an existing Sludge Thickener Tank at the Coldwater Creek Sewage Treatment Plant, and for a study to determine methods for controlling odors emitted from said tank, and providing for the repayment to the Coldwater Creek Sewer Extension Fund of any sums granted by the Federal Government to pay a portion of cost of this project. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Thirty-Four Thousand Dollars ($34,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Coldwater Creek Sewer Extension Fund to pay the costs of the construction of a Styrofoam Dome over an existing Sludge Thickener Tank at the Coldwater Creek Sewage Treatment Plant, and for studies to determine methods of controlling odors emitted from said tank. Section Two. WHEREAS, the United States Department of the Interior, Federal Water Pollution Control Administration, Office of Research and Development, has agreed to pay a portion of the cost of this project, not to exceed Twenty-Four Thousand Ninety-two Dollars ($24,092.00), the officers of the District are hereby directed to repay to the Coldwater Creek Sewer Extension Fund all sums paid by the Federal Government as a portion of the cost, of this project. Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 24, 1969
