AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with Millstone
Construction, Inc., and Millstone Associates, Inc., a Joint
Venture, for the construction of the River des Peres Interceptor
Sewer to be constructed for the Mississippi River Subdistrict as
part of the Lemay System, in and near the River des Peres Channel
from the Lemay Pump Station No. 1 at 8500 Virginia Avenue,
northwestwardly to Mardel Avenue, in the City of St. Louis,
Missouri, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Millstone Construction, Inc., and Millstone
Associates, Inc., a Joint Venture, as the lowest responsible
bidder, for the construction of the River des Peres Interceptor
Sewer to be constructed for the Mississippi River Subdistrict as
part of the Lemay System, of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 17th day of
November, 1969 and formally executed on the 4th day of December,
1969, by said contractors and by the Executive Director and the
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District, in the following
form:
is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This ordinance being for the confirmation
of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be
constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, an emergency exists within the meaning of the Plan, and
this ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
