HomeMy Public PortalAbout01988 O R D I N A N C E NO. 1988 AN ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Executive Director to grant to Laclede Gas Company an easement fifteen (15) feet wide for a gas line and appurtenances across certain property of the District in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, and to execute an instrument giving effect thereto upon the conditions hereinafter set out. WHEREAS, Laclede Gas Company wishes to relocate a ten (10) inch gas main and appurtenances across certain property of this District, and the District has no objection to this relocation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District does hereby grant to the Laclede Gas Company the right to construct, reconstruct, repair and maintain a ten (10) inch gas main and appurtenances, across property owned by the District in the City of St. Louis, Missouri, such property and easement being described as follows: A fifteen (15) foot wide strip of land in Block 2450, City of St. Louis, Missouri and described in Deed Book 8548, Page 571 of the City of St. Louis Missouri Records the centerline of which being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the southern line of property of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, said line being the northern line of the St. Louis Terminal Railroad Association and being distant North 72 degrees 36 minutes 30 seconds East 173 feet to a point; thence North 64 degrees 58 minutes 30 seconds East 43.94 feet to a point, said point being the intersection of the easternmost line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District with the northernmost line of Ferry Street, 60 feet wide; thence commencing from the aforementioned point of beginning North 44 degrees 36 minutes East 206 feet to a point; thence North 25 degrees 36 minutes West 160 feet to a point of termination. The aforementioned description is indicated on a plat attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. Section Two. Upon the removal of such gas mains and appurtenances, or upon termination of such service, the said easement shall cease and determine. Section Three. The Executive Director is hereby authorized and directed to execute in behalf of the District an instrument giving effect to Sections One and Two hereof.
