HomeMy Public PortalAbout02012 O R D I N A N C E NO. 2012 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County which would be efficiently served by the sewer or drainage facilities of the District and of the Mississippi River Subdistrict. WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the majority of the owners of the land in said area, who own more than one-half of the land area therein, praying for annexation to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into existing sewers within the District and such Subdistrict, that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning in the centerline of Larimore Road at its intersection with the western prolongation of the northern line of property conveyed to John Moran and wife by deed recorded in Book 4713, Page 640, St. Louis County Recorder's Office, being approximately 310.5' north from the north line of Prigge Road, and in the existing north boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence northwardly along the centerline of Larimore Road to its intersection with the western prolongation of the south line of Parcel "B" of LARIMORE PLAZA, a subdivision as per plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 113, Page 94, St. Louis County Recorder's Office; thence eastwardly along said prolongation, and along the south line of said LARIMORE PLAZA to the southeast corner of Lot 40 thereof; thence northwardly along the east line of said LARIMORE PLAZA to the northeast corner of Lot 22 thereof; thence westwardly 378.83' along the north line of LARIMORE PLAZA to an angle point in the north line of Lot 19 thereof; thence northwestwardly along the northern line of Parcel "A" of LARIMORE PLAZA to the southwest corner of Lot 9 in Block 20 of ELDORADO NO. 2, a subdivision as per plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 27, Page 16, said Recorder's office; thence northwardly along the west line of said Lot 9, and its northern prolongation, to its intersection with the north line of Trampe Ave.; thence westwardly along said street line to the westernmost corner of Lot 33 in Block 21 of said ELDORADO NO. 2; thence northeastwardly along the northwest lines of Lots 33-19, incl., in said Block 21 of ELDORADO NO. 2, and the northeastern prolongation thereof, across Valencia Dr., to the westernmost corner of Lot 30 in Block 22 of said ELDORADO NO. 2; thence northeastwardly along the northwest lines of Lots 30-15, incl., in said Block 22, and the northeastern prolongation thereof, to the centerline of Cordova Dr.; thence southeastwardly along the centerline of Cordova Dr. to its intersection with the southwestern prolongation of the northwest line of Lot 14 in Block 23 of said ELDORADO NO. 2; thence northeastwardly along said prolongation, and along the northwest line of said Lot 14, to the northernmost corner of said Lot 14; thence eastwardly along the northern lines of Lots 14-25, incl., in Block 23 of said ELDORADO NO. 2 to the northeast corner of said Lot 25, being also at the southwest corner of property conveyed to John Remiger by deed recorded in Book 1192, Page 521, St. Louis County Recorder's office; thence northwardly along the west line of said Remiger property, 2,095'∀ to the northwest corner of said Remiger property, in the south line of U.S. Survey 1840; thence westwardly 2,141'∀ along the south line of U.S. Survey 1840 to the southwest corner thereof; thence northwardly 3,143'∀ along the west line of U.S. Survey 1840 to an angle point in the centerline of St. Vrain Road; thence northwardly along said road centerline, 138.60' to another angle point therein; thence eastwardly along said road centerline, and its eastern prolongation, being also along the south line of property conveyed to Glenwood Fowler, by deed recorded in Book 5463, Page 353, St. Louis County Recorder's office, 836.22' to a southeast corner of said Fowler property; thence northwardly along the east line of said Fowler property, 601.92' to a northeast corner thereof, in the north line of U.S. Survey 1840; thence eastwardly 2,260'∀ along the north line of U.S. Survey 1840 to the northwest corner of property conveyed to Carl Neustadt and wife, by deed recorded in Book 2863, Page 499, said Recorder's office; thence southwardly along the west line of said Neustadt property and the west line of property conveyed to Ralph V. Wooten and wife, by deed recorded in Book 3487, Page 237, said Recorder's office, 198.92' to the southwest corner of said Wooten property; thence eastwardly along the south line of said Wooten property, and its eastern prolongation, 474'∀ to the east line of Columbia Bottom Road; thence southwardly along the east line of Columbia Bottom Rd. to its intersection with the eastern prolongation of the north line of Lot 24 of GREENWAY ACRES, a subdivision as per plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 41, Page 36, St. Louis County Recorder's office, which point of intersection is a point in the existing north boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence westwardly along said existing boundary line of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to the beginning. Section Two. That the petitions praying for annexation were signed by the majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area of the area to be served. Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The 5 Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Mississippi River Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. 6 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 19, 1970.
