HomeMy Public PortalAbout02017 O R D I N A N C E NO. 2017 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the District and Subdistrict No. 150 (Sugar Creek). WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the owner of all the land in said area, praying for annexation to the District and Subdistrict No. 150 (Sugar Creek); and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the existing sewers of the District are adequate to handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the original boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the north line of Dougherty Woods, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 129 Pages 58, 59, 60 and 61 of the St. Louis County Records, which point of intersection is 500 feet west of the original west line of Des Peres Road (40 feet wide), measured at right angles thereto; thence westwardly along the northern line of such subdivision approximately 730 feet to the northwest corner of such subdivision; thence southwardly, westwardly and southwardly, along the western line of such subdivision to the southwestern corner thereof; thence eastwardly, along the southern line of Lots 45 through 50 inclusive, of such subdivision and its eastwardly extension, to its intersection with aforesaid original boundary of the District; thence northwardly, in a straight line along such original boundary of the District, to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the owner of all the land in said area. Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and Subdistrict No. 150 (Sugar Creek) are hereby extended so as to include the above described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 2, 1970.
