A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE CHANGING AUTHORIZING SIGNATORIES FOR THE CITY'S
VARIOUS BANK ACCOUNTS
WHEREAS, The City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a Municipal Corporation, organized and
operating under the laws of the State of Iowa, and;
WHEREAS, on January 14, 2020, Council Member Anthony Heddlesten was formally
appointed as Mayor Pro Tempore by the Mayor and affirmed by the City Council, and;
WHEREAS, on July 6, 2020, Katie Enloe began her employment with the City of Riverdale
as its Deputy Clerk and, as a responsibility of that position, is responsible for the review of
all claims for payment made by vendors and the preparation and disbursement of
payments for those claims, and;
WHEREAS, the City's bank account (checking account with Quad City Bank & Trust)
and other financial instruments (certificates of deposit with IH Mississippi Valley Credit
Union) requiring signatures currently show Mayor Mike Bawden, temporary Clerk Mary
Frances Blevins and Council Member Doug Littrel as signatories on those accounts and
instruments, and;
WHEREAS, the financial institutions used by the City require two authorized signatures on
checks and other documents related to the renewal or liquidation of certificates of
deposit.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERDALE, IOWA,
That the City Council of Riverdale, Iowa authorizes the Mayor, Council Member
Anthony Heddlesten and Deputy Clerk Katie Enloe to serve as signatories on the City's
checking and certificate of deposit accounts and to sign the required documents
provided by Quad City Bank & Trust and IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union to fulfill those
responsibilities.
