HomeMy Public PortalAbout02050 O R D I N A N C E NO. 2050 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Watkins Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the District, the Watkins Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the Mississippi River Subdistrict. WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the majority of the owners of the land in said area, who own more than one-half of the area therein, praying for annexation to the District, the Watkins Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the Mississippi River Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and such Watkins Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the Mississippi River Subdistrict, and the existing sewers of the District and Subdistricts are adequate to handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interest of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of Krenning Lane (50 feet wide) and the original boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence northeastwardly along said centerline of Krenning Lane to the northeastern boundary of Lake Village Plat No. 4, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 63, Page 6 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southeastwardly, along such northeastern boundary, to the east corner of such subdivision; thence southwestwardly, along the southeastern line of such subdivision, to its intersection with the original boundary of the District, which point of intersection is on the westerly line of U.S. Survey 155, said point being also 1198.83 feet northeastwardly from the north line of Trampe Lane, measured along said westerly line of survey; thence northwestwardly, along said original boundary of the District, across aforesaid Lake Village Plat No. 4 subdivision (referred to on page 7 of the Plan of the District as "Lake Village Plat No. 2") in a straight line to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petitions praying for annexation were signed by the majority of the owners of the land in said area, who own more than one-half of the area therein. 3 Section Three. That the interest of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Watkins Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the Mississippi River Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the Secretary of State. 4 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 18, 1970.
