AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with Meiners
Plumbing Company, for the construction of Viehl Avenue Extension
storm sewers in Subdistrict No. 89 (Loretta-Joplin), with an
emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Meiners Plumbing Company, as the lowest
responsible bidder, for the construction of Viehl Avenue Extension
storm sewers in Subdistrict No. 89 (Loretta-Joplin) of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received
and opened on the 14th day of October, 1970, and formally executed
on the 21st day of October, 1970 by said contractor and by the
Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the
District, in the following form:

is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the
confirmation of a contract for construction of storm sewers and
the sewers to be constructed being necessary for the protection of
the public health, an emergency exists within the meaning of the
Plan, and this Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately
upon its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 12, 1970.
