AN ORDINANCE, confirming a contract with Hoel-Steffen
Construction Company for the construction of a grit chamber in the
River des Peres Interceptor Sewer, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to Hoel-Steffen Construction Company, as the
lowest responsible bidder, for the construction of a grit chamber
in the River des Peres Interceptor Sewer of The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the
19th day of November, 1970, and formally executed on the 30th day
of November, 1970, by said contractor and by the Executive
Director and the Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District, in
the following form:

is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the
confirmation of a contract to construct a grit chamber in the
River Des Peres Interceptor Sewer and the chamber to be
constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, an emergency exists within the meaning of the Plan, and
this Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon its
adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 1, 1970.
