AN ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the Executive
Director and Secretary-Treasurer to sell certain real estate
belonging to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, located in
the County of St. Louis and known as 9928 Gravois to Charles F.
Hale and Jean M. Hale, his wife.
WHEREAS, The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District no
longer operates a Maintenance facility at 9928 Gravois, and
WHEREAS, Charles F. Hale and Jean M. Hale, his wife,
have offered a fair price for said property,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby authorized and directed to sell, at the price
of Forty-Four Thousand Dollars ($44,000.00) certain real estate
belonging to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to Charles
F. Hale and Jean M. Hale, his wife, said real estate is described
as follows to wit:
Lots 11, 12 and 13 of Affton Terrace according to the plat
thereof recorded in Plat Book 31, Page 20 of the St. Louis
County records, excepting therefrom the North 10 feet of Lots
11, 12 and 13 condemned for the widening of Gravois Road or
State Highway No. 30. ALSO part of Lot 6 of Detjen
Subdivision according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat
Book 22, Page 88 of the St. Louis County Records, and
described as: Beginning at the intersection of the South
line of Gravois Road, 50 feet wide, with the East line of
said Lot 6; thence along the South line of Gravois Road, 80
feet wide, South 89 degrees 46 minutes West 50 feet to a
point; thence South 0 degrees 14 minutes East 105 feet to a
point; thence North 89 degrees 46 minutes East 34 feet 11-1/2
inches to an iron rod in the East line of said Lot 6; thence
along said East line, North 7 degrees 45 minutes East 106
feet 0-1/4 inch to the beginning, according to survey
executed by E. R. Kinsey and Sons, Surveyors and Engineers on
August 21, 1948, EXCEPTING THEREFROM that part conveyed to
State of Missouri by instrument recorded in Book 6306, Page
1388 of the St. Louis County Records.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-
Treasurer are hereby directed to execute and deliver a general
warranty deed to Charles F. Hale and Jean M. Hale, his wife, for
the above-described property on payment to The Metropolitan St.
Louis Sewer District of the sum of Forty-Four Thousand Dollars
($44,000.00). The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 16, 1970.
