AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St.
Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer or
drainage facilities of the District.
WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the
owners of the land in said area who own all of the land area
therein praying for annexation to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, the Mississippi River Subdistrict and Gravois Creek
Trunk Subdistrict; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, the Mississippi River Subdistrict and the Gravois
Creek Trunk Subdistrict and can drain all of its sanitary sewage
into existing sewers within the District and such Subdistricts,
that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District
will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that
the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no
available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those
of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the existing boundary of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District as annexed by Ordinance No.
880, adopted November 27, 1962, which point is on the North line
of Wagoner Drive (also known as Chrisann Drive), a private road,
at its intersection with the East line of property now or formerly
of Robert L. Maret and wife, according to instrument recorded in
Book 6448, Page 952 of the St. Louis County Records; thence North
07 degrees 27 minutes West along said Maret's East line, which is
also part of the existing District boundary, a distance of 96
feet, more or less, to the northeast corner of said property of
Maret; thence North 89 degrees 08-1/2 minutes West a distance of
228.98 feet, to the northwestern corner of Maret; thence South 04
degrees 55 minutes East a distance of 116 feet to the southern
line of said Wagoner Drive, which is also the southwest corner of
Maret; thence South 88 degrees East along the southern line of
said Wagoner Drive, which is also the southern line of Maret, a
distance of 189.52 feet to an angle point; thence North 85 degrees
13 minutes East along such southern line of Wagoner Drive and
southern line of Maret, a distance of 44.80 feet to the southeast
corner of Maret; thence North 07 degrees 27 minutes West along the
eastern line of Maret a distance of approximately 20.00 feet to
the point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation
was signed by all of the owners of the land in said area who own
all of the land area of the area to be served.
Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and
public health of the District will be promoted by including the
area in its territory.

Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Mississippi River
Subdistrict and of the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict are hereby
extended so as to include the above described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted April 22, 1971.
