AN ORDINANCE, establishing a class of position in the
administrative unclassified service of the District, entitled
Pilot Plant Laboratory Chemist, and prescribing the salary
thereof, with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. There is hereby created a new class of
position in the administrative unclassified service of the
District, entitled Pilot Plant Laboratory Chemist, to provide
technical personnel to be employed on and for the duration of the
Demonstration Plant Program on Additional Treatment at Bissell
Point and Lemay Treatment Plants.
Section Two. The salary of each Pilot Plant
Laboratory Chemist shall be not less than $800.00 per month nor
more than $1,000.00 per month, payable in equal semi-monthly
installments.
Section Three. The immediate need to employ personnel
to conduct the Pilot and Demonstration Plant Program on Additional
Treatment at Bissell Point and Lemay Treatment Plants creates an
emergency affecting the public health within the meaning of the
Plan. Accordingly, this Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 25, 1971.
