AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St.
Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer or
drainage facilities of the District.
WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the
majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than
one-half of the land area therein praying for annexation to The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Mississippi River
Subdistrict and the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, the Mississippi River Subdistrict and the Gravois
Creek Trunk Subdistrict and can drain all of its sanitary sewage
into existing sewers within the District and such Subdistrict,
that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District
will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that
the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no
available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those
of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the existing boundary of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, as extended by
Ordinance No. 81, adopted June 11, 1956, which point is the
point of intersection of the eastern prolongation of the
South line of Lot 12, RONNIE'S COUNTRY CLUB ACRES, a
subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, as recorded in
Plat Book 57, Page 1 of the St. Louis County Records; thence
westwardly along said prolongation and South line of said Lot
12 to the northeastern line of Lot 15 of said subdivision;
thence generally northwestwardly, westwardly and
southwestwardly, along the northeastern, northern and
northwestern lot lines of said Lot 15 and Lots 16 and 17 of
said subdivision, to the westernmost corner of said Lot 17;
thence southwestwardly along the northwestern line of Lot 6,
FOREST MANORS, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri,
according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 70, Page
15 of the St. Louis County Records; thence southeastwardly,
along the southwest line of said Lot 6, to its intersection
with the northern line of Cinema Lane (50 feet wide); thence
southwestwardly, along said northern line to its intersection
with the northwestern prolongation of the southwest line of
Lot 8 of said FOREST MANORS SUBDIVISION; thence
southeastwardly, along said prolongation and said southwest
line, to the southernmost corner of said Lot 8, which is a
point on the western line of Lot 19 of aforesaid RONNIE'S
COUNTRY CLUB ACRES SUBDIVISION; thence southwardly, along
said western line of Lot 19 and continuing along the western
line of Lot 20 of said subdivision to the southwest corner of
said Lot 20; thence South 0 degrees 15 minutes 20 seconds
West a distance of 325.46 feet along the West line of
property now or formerly of Edward J. and Doris E. Thias to
the southwest corner thereof; thence South 36 degrees 23
minutes 30 seconds West a distance of 722.65 feet along the
northwest lines of property now or formerly of Thomas G. and
Ruth E. Rainey and of Charles H. and Barbara Buckley to the
southwest corner of Buckley which is also the easternmost
corner of Lot 1, ROBYN HILLS ESTATES, a subdivision of St.
Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof
recorded in Plat Book 133, Pages 38 and 39 of the St. Louis
County Records; thence generally southwardly along the
eastern line of said Lot 1 and its southward extension to the
centerline of Robyn Avenue (60 feet wide); thence westwardly
along said centerline to its intersection with the southern
prolongation of the western line of said ROBYN HILLS ESTATES
SUBDIVISION; thence northwardly along said prolongation and
along said western line to the northwest corner of Lot 39 of
said subdivision; thence North 0 degrees 14 minutes 20
seconds East a distance of 855.19 feet to a point; thence
North 83 degrees 06 minutes 20 seconds East a distance of
613.02 feet to the northwestern corner of Lot 3 of aforesaid
FOREST MANORS SUBDIVISION; thence southeastwardly along the
southwest line of said Lot 3 to the northern line of Matthews
Lane (50 feet wide); thence eastwardly along the northern
line of said Matthews Lane to its intersection with the
southwest corner of Lot 5 of aforesaid RONNIE'S COUNTRY CLUB
ACRES SUBDIVISION, which is also a point on the existing
boundary of the District as extended by aforesaid Ordinance
81; thence southwardly and southeastwardly along the existing
District boundary to the point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petitions praying for
annexation were signed by the majority of the owners of the land
in said area who own more than one-half of the land area of the
area to be served.
Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and
public health of the District will be promoted by including the
area in its territory.
Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Mississippi River
Subdistrict and the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict are hereby
extended so as to include the above described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis and the
Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 15, 1971.
