Leesburg’s Annual “Pie in the Face” Relay for Life Fundraiser
Scheduled for Friday, May 3, 2013
Leesburg, VA (April 29, 2013) – On Friday, May
3, 2013, Leesburg Council Members Kevin
Wright and Marty Martinez, along with Town
Manager John Wells and Assistant Town
Manager Scott Parker, will take a “pie in the
face” to raise money for the American Cancer
Society’s Western Loudoun Relay for Life. The
pie‐throwing will take place at 5:30 p.m. on the
Town Green in front of the Leesburg Town Hall
(25 West Market Street).
The Town of Leesburg's Relay for Life team,
Government Steps, is looking for bidders to
throw a pie in the face of one of these brave
volunteers. The bidding begins at $50 and the
highest bidder for each gets the privilege of throwing the pie. Bidding is now open through the
day of the event. Interested bidders may bid by contacting Debi Parry at
dparry@leesburgva.gov or 703‐737‐7023.
All donations collected from the “Pie in the Face” event will go directly to the American Cancer
Society's Western Loudoun Relay for Life. This year's Western Loudoun Relay for Life will be
held at Heritage High School in Leesburg, beginning at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2013, and
continuing through 6:00 am on Sunday, June 2, 2013. For more information on the Western
