AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan Louis Sewer District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk
Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County, Missouri,
which could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the
District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict.
WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the
majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than
one-half of the land area therein, praying for annexation to both
the District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District and such Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict and the
existing sewers of the District and Subdistrict are adequate to
handle all of its sanitary sewage; that the interests of
sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by
including the aria in its territory; and that the sewage flow from
the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through
public sanitary sewers other than those of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of
Howdershell Road (60 feet wide) and the southeastern
prolongation of the southwest line of Lot 1, Crestwood Acres,
a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the
plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 43, Page 100 of the St.
Louis County records, which point of intersection is also a
point on the existing boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District; thence northwestwardly, along said
prolongation and along said southwest line of Lot 1, which is
also a part of the existing District boundary as extended by
Ordinance No. 1562, adopted December 8, 1966, to the western
corner thereof; thence northeastwardly along the northwest
line of Lots 1, 2 and 3 of said subdivision, to the
northeastern corner of said Lot 3; thence in a straight line
across Woodcrest Lane (50 feet wide), to the western corner
of Lot 4 of aforesaid subdivision; thence continuing
generally northeastwardly along the northwest line of Lots 4,
5 and 6 of said subdivision to the northern corner of said
Lot 6, which corner is also a point on the existing boundary
of the District as extended by Ordinance No. 365, adopted
January 28, 1960; thence southeastwardly along the northeast
line of said Lot 6, which is also the southwest line of
Holiday Meadows Plat No. 3 Subdivision; and also a part of
the existing District boundary, and continuing
southeastwardly along the southeast prolongation of such
line, to its intersection with the centerline of aforesaid
Howdershell Road; thence southwestwardly, along the aforesaid
centerline of Howdershell Road, which is also a part of the
original boundary of the District, to its intersection with
southeastwardly prolongation of the southwest line of
aforesaid Lot 3; thence northwestwardly, along the said
prolongation and along the said southwest line of Lot 3,
which is also part of the existing District boundary to the
western corner thereof; thence southwestwardly along the
northwest line of aforesaid Lot 2, which is also part of the
existing District boundary, to the northern corner of
aforesaid Lot 1; thence southeastwardly along the northeast
line of said Lot 1 and its southeastwardly prolongation,
which line and its prolongation are a part of the existing
District boundary, to its intersection with the aforesaid
centerline of Howdershell Road; thence southwestwardly along
the aforesaid centerline of Howdershell Road, which is also
part of the existing District boundary, to the point of
beginning.
Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation
was signed by the majority of the owners of more than one-half of
the land in said area.
Section Three. That the interest of sanitation and
public health of the District will be promoted by including the
area in its territory.
Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek

Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above-
described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis and the
Secretary of State.
