AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St.
Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer or
drainage facilities of the District, the Mississippi River
Subdistrict and the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict.
WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the
majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than
one-half of the land area therein praying for annexation to The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Mississippi River
Subdistrict and the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, the Mississippi River Subdistrict and the Gravois
Creek Trunk Subdistrict and can drain all of its sanitary sewage
into existing sewers within the District and such Subdistricts,
that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District
will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that
the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no
available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those
of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District, the Mississippi River Subdistrict and
the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of
Watson Road, also known as U.S. Highway 66 and 50, and
the original Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District
boundary, which point is also the point of intersection
of such original boundary and the boundary as extended
by Ordinance No. 624, adopted September 11, 1961, which
point of intersection is approximately 650 feet west of
the centerline of Lindbergh Boulevard; thence
westwardly, along the said centerline of Watson Road,
which is also the said boundary as extended by
Ordinance No. 624, to its intersection with the
centerline of Geyer Road; thence northwardly along said
centerline of Geyer Road 1,000 feet, more or less, to
its intersection with the boundary of The Metropolitan
St. Louis Sewer District as extended by Ordinance No.
1570, adopted December 22, 1966; thence northeastwardly
along such boundary as extended by Ordinance No. 1570,
which is also the northwest line of Interstate Highway
44 Right-of-Way, to the southeast corner of Lot 27,
Windsor Springs Estates 2nd Addition, a subdivision of
St. Louis County, Missouri, according to plat thereof
recorded in Plat Book 106, Pages 64 and 65 of the St.
Louis County records, which is also an angle point on
aforesaid District boundary as extended; thence
northwardly, along the eastern line of such subdivision
and its northward prolongation, which is also the

District boundary as extended by such Ordinance No.
1570, a distance of approximately 580 feet, to its
intersection with the original District boundary;
thence eastwardly, southeastwardly and southwardly
along such original District boundary to the point of
beginning.
Section Two. That the petitions praying for
annexation were signed by the majority of the owners of the land
in said area who own more than one half of the land area of the
area to be served.
Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and
public health of the District will be promoted by including the
area in its territory.
Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Mississippi River
Subdistrict and the Gravois Creek Trunk Subdistrict are hereby
extended so as to include the above-described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis and the
Secretary of State.
