HomeMy Public PortalAbout02345 O R D I N A N C E NO. 2345 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the majority of the owners of the land in said area, who own more than one-half of the area therein, praying for annexation to the District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict, and the existing sewers of the District and Subdistrict are adequate to handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interest of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at a point, said point being the intersection of the centerline of Oak Avenue and the southern prolongation of the West line of Lot 17, Oak Forest, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 15, Page 64 of the St. Louis County Records, which point of intersection is a point on the original District boundary; thence northwardly along said prolongation and West line of said Lot 17 to the northwest corner of said Lot 17; thence eastwardly along the North line of said Lot 17 to the northeast corner of said Lot 17, being also a point on the West line of Lot 14 of said subdivision; thence northwardly, along the West line of Lots 14, 13 and 12 of said subdivision, to the northwest corner of said Lot 12; thence eastwardly, along the North line of said Lot 12 and its eastward prolongation, to its intersection with the centerline of Raymond Avenue, which is a point on the original District boundary; thence southwardly, along the said centerline of Raymond Avenue, which is also a part of the original District boundary, to its intersection with the centerline of aforesaid Oak Avenue; thence westwardly, along the centerline of said Oak Avenue, which is also part of the original District boundary, to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petitions praying for annexation were signed by the majority of the owners of all of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area of the area to be served. Section Three. That the interest of sanitation and 3 public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above- described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 2, 1972.
