AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek
Trunk Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently
served by the sewer facilities of the District and the Coldwater
Creek Trunk Subdistrict.
WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the
owner of all of the land in said area, praying for annexation to
the District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict, and the
existing sewers of the District and Subdistricts are adequate to
handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interest of sanitation
and public health of the District will be promoted by including
the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the North line of
U.S. Survey 338, St. Louis County, Missouri, and The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District boundary as extended by
Ordinance No. 1486, adopted May 9, 1966, which portion of
District boundary was the then centerline of New Halls Ferry
Road (60 feet wide), and which point of intersection is
approximately 700 feet southeast of the intersection of the
centerline of Shackelford Road (40 feet wide) and the
centerline of said New Halls Ferry Road (60 feet wide) as it
existed May 9, 1966; thence southeastwardly along said North
line of U.S. Survey 338 a distance of approximately 1800 feet
to its intersection with the northwest line of a 30 foot wide
private roadway described in a deed to Stanton Hume, et al.,
and recorded in Book 384, Page 151 of the City (formerly
County) of St. Louis Records; thence southwestwardly along
said northwest line of private roadway and its
southwestwardly prolongation, to its intersection with the
existing District boundary as extended by aforesaid Ordinance
No. 1486, which point of intersection is also on the
aforesaid centerline of New Halls Ferry Road (then 60 feet
wide); thence northwestwardly, along such existing District
boundary as extended, to the point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation
was signed by the owner of all of the land in said area.
Section Three. That the interest of sanitation and
public health of the District will be promoted by including the
area in its territory.
Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area

proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek
Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above-
described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis and the
Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted November 2, 1972.
