HomeMy Public PortalAbout02390 O R D I N A N C E NO. 2390 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County, Missouri, which could be efficiently served by the sewer or drainage facilities of the District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict. WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the owner of the land in said area who owns all of the land area therein praying for annexation to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict, and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into existing sewers within the District and such Subdistrict, that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of a line 720 feet west of and parallel with the west line of Ballas Road and the south line of Bon Coeur Estates, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 147, Page 99 of the St. Louis County records, which point of intersection is also a point on the original boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence westwardly, along the south line of said Bon Coeur Estates subdivision, to the southwest corner of said subdivision; thence northwardly, along the west line of said subdivision, to its intersection with the original District boundary; thence eastwardly and southwardly along the original District boundary to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation was signed by the sole owner of the land in said area who owns all of the land area of the area to be served. Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Mississippi River Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above- described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed in offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis and the Secretary of State. 3 The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 15, 1973.
