AN ORDINANCE, authorizing the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District to purchase from the City of St. Louis certain real
property in St. Louis, Missouri, to be used in the operations of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The Executive Director and the
SecretaryTreasurer of the District are hereby authorized to
purchase from the City of St. Louis, the following real property
in St. Louis, Missouri, to be used in the operations of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, at a price not to exceed
Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00), said property to be free of all
encumbrances, said property described as follows:
A tract of land in City Block 1694 in the City of St.
Louis: Beginning at a point at the intersection of the
southeastern line of the Saint Louis-San Francisco Railroad right-
of-way 100 feet wide, and the northern line of Amanda Street of
irregular width; thence northeastwardly along said railroad right-
of-way, a distance of 208.331 feet to a point on the southern line
of the River des Peres drainage right-of-way 100 feet wide; thence
eastwardly along the southern line of said drainage right-of-way
on a curve to the left having a radius of 331.434 feet, a distance
of 202.79 feet to a point, said point being 20 feet more or less
West of the western line of Hampton Avenue 80 feet wide and
measured along the southern line of the River des Peres drainage
right-of-way; thence southwardly along a line which is parallel to
the western line of Hampton Avenue, a distance of 55.90 feet to an
iron pipe; thence in a westerly direction along a line forming an
angle of 90 degrees to the last mentioned line 118.85 feet to an
iron pipe located in the northern line of Amanda Street of
irregular width; thence running along the northern line of Amanda
Street in a westerly direction along the arc of a curve to the
left having a radius of 844.65 feet, a distance of 90.755 feet to
a point, said point being the point of curvature of another curve
to the left having a radius of 365.912 feet; thence continuing in
a westerly direction along the curve to the left and the North
line of Amanda Street, a distance of 164.335 feet to the point of
beginning and containing in all 0.73 acres more or less.
According to plats of the City of St. Louis and as
surveyed during the month of December, 1972, by the City of St.
Louis.
Section Two. Upon the execution and delivery to them
by said owner of a Quit Claim Deed in proper form, being free from
liens and encumbrances, conveying title to the said land to The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the Executive Director and
the Secretary-Treasurer shall be and are hereby authorized and
directed to pay to said owner, for the said land, the total sum of
Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00). The foregoing Ordinance was adopted March 16, 1973.
