AN ORDINANCE, transferring Two Hundred Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($230,000.00) from the General Fund of the Mississippi
River Subdistrict to the Improvement Fund as a loan, and
appropriating said sum from the Improvement Fund to be used for
the cost of construction of sanitary sewers in the project known
as River des Peres, Hanley Hills Branch Sanitary Interceptor (S-
634) in University City, Missouri, and providing for repayment of
a portion of such loan.
WHEREAS, the Environmental Protection Agency, United
States of America and the Missouri Clean Water Commission have
approved a grant in aid of financing such improvement totalling
90% of construction and engineering costs, conditioned on the
advance payment of costs in cash by the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of Two Hundred Thirty Thousand
Dollars ($230,000.00) is hereby transferred from the General Fund
of the Mississippi River Subdistrict to the Improvement Fund as a
loan, and appropriated from the Improvement Fund to be used for
the cost of construction of sanitary sewers in the project known
as River des Peres, Hanley Hills Branch Sanitary Interceptor (S-
634), in University City, Missouri, pending payment into the
Improvement Fund of the costs hereby advanced from federal and
state grants in aid, and cash payments in aid from any other
source.
Section Two. The anticipated payments, together with
any interest earned shall be repaid into the General Fund of the
Mississippi River Subdistrict from the Improvement Fund.
Section Three. This Ordinance, being an appropriation
Ordinance, shall take effect immediately upon its enactment.
