HomeMy Public PortalAbout02437 O R D I N A N C E NO. 2437 AN ORDINANCE, appropriating Four Hundred Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($445,000.00) from the Maline Creek Operation, Maintenance and Construction of Improvement Fund as an advancement for the entire costs of constructing a sanitary interceptor sewer in the project known as New Halls Ferry & I-270 Sanitary Interceptor, and providing for repayment of such advancement. WHEREAS, the Environmental Protection Agency, United States of America, has approved a grant in aid of financing such improvement conditioned on the advance payment of costs in cash by the District, WHEREAS, the Missouri Clean Water Commission has approved a grant in aid of financing such improvement conditioned on the advance payment of costs in cash by the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The sum of Four Hundred Forty-five Thousand Dollars ($445,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Maline Creek, Operation, Maintenance and Construction of Improvement Fund to be used for advancements for the entire costs of constructing a sanitary interceptor sewer in the project known as New Halls Ferry & I-270 Sanitary Interceptor, pending payment into the Maline Creek Operation, Maintenance and Construction of Improvement Fund of the costs hereby advanced from the federal and state grants in aid, and cash payments in aid from any other source. 2 Section Two. The anticipated payments, together with any interest earned shall be paid into the Maline Creek Operation, Maintenance and Construction of Improvement Fund named in Section One, as received. Section Three. This Ordinance, being an appropriation Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its enactment. The foregoing ordinance was adopted May 31, 1973.
