AN ORDINANCE confirming a contract with G. L. Tarlton
Contracting Company for the construction of a sanitary interceptor
sewer in the project known as New Halls Ferry & I-270 Sanitary
Interceptor in St. Louis County with an emergency clause.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The contract heretofore let by the
Executive Director to G. L. Tarlton Contracting Company as the
lowest responsible bidder, for the construction of sanitary sewers
in the project known as New Halls Ferry & I-270 Sanitary
Interceptor in St. Louis County within The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District, pursuant to bids received and opened on the 16th
day of April, 1973, and formally executed on the 29th day of May,
1973, by said contractor and by the Executive Director and the
Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of the District, in the following
form:

is hereby confirmed.
Section Two. This Ordinance being for the
confirmation of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers
to be constructed being necessary for the protection of the public
health, constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan,
and this Ordinance shall bend become effective immediately upon
its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted May 31, 1973.
