HomeMy Public PortalAbout02448 O R D I N A N C E NO. 2448 AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently served by the sewer or drainage facilities of the District. WHEREAS, petitions to the Board of Trustees of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District have been received from the majority of the owners of the land in said area, who own more than one-half of the land area therein, praying for annexation to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and can drain all of its sanitary sewage into existing sewers within the District, that the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the westerly city limits line of Kirkwood and the centerline of Marshall Road, which point of intersection is also a point on the original boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; thence southwestwardly along the centerline of Marshall Road to its intersection with the southward prolongation of the west line of Tree Court Industrial Boulevard, 50 feet wide; thence northwardly, along said southward prolongation, and along said west line to the dividing line between Sections 9 and 16, Township 46 North, Range 5 East, which dividing line is also the south line of Tree Court Industrial Park, a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 110, Pages 52 and 53, of the St. Louis County Records; thence westwardly along the south line of said Tree Court Industrial Park to the southwest corner of said subdivision; thence northwardly along the west line of said subdivision to the northernmost corner of said subdivision; thence eastwardly along the north line of said subdivision to the northeast corner of said subdivision, which corner is a point on the existing District boundary; thence southwardly along said existing District boundary, to the point of beginning. Section Two. That the petitions praying for annexation were signed by the majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area of the area to be served. Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and public health of the District will be promoted by including the area in its territory. Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public sanitary sewers other than those of the District. Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District are hereby extended so as to include the above-described area. Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis and the Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted June 29, 1973.
