AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Coldwater Creek
Trunk Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County which
could be efficiently served by the sewer facilities of the
District and of the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict.
WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the
majority of the owners of the land in said area who own more than
one-half of the land area therein, praying for annexation to both
the District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District and such Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict and, the
existing sewers of the District and Subdistrict are adequate to
handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interest of sanitation
and public health of the District will be promoted by including
the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the centerline of
New Halls Ferry Road as it existed May 9, 1966 at the tine of
the adoption of Ordinance No. 1486, establishing the
centerline of a portion of Halls Ferry Road (60 feet wide) as
a part of the boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District, and the northwestern line of Vaile Avenue, which
point of intersection is a point on the existing boundary of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, as extended by
Ordinances numbered 548 and 1486, adopted respectively May 4,
1961 and May 9, 1966; thence northwestwardly along the said
centerline of New Halls Ferry Road, as it existed May 9,
1966, which centerline is also part of the existing District
boundary as extended by said Ordinance No. 1486, an
approximate distance of 1160 feet to its intersection with
the southwardly prolongation of the eastern line of property
now or formerly of Buckley, as recorded in Book 308, Page 271
of the St. Louis County, Missouri, Records; thence North 14
degrees 24 minutes 30 seconds East along such prolongation
and along such eastern line of Buckley a distance of
approximately 400 feet to the easternmost corner of such
Buckley property; thence North 53 degrees 11 minutes 38
seconds West a distance of 44.93 feet to a point on the
northwestern line of Lot 6, Elisha Patterson Estate,
according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 2, Page
12 of the St. Louis County Records; thence along the
northwest line of said Elisha Patterson Estate, a distance of
approximately 2780 feet, to the northern corner of Lot 10
thereof, which corner of Lot 10 is also the southwest corner
of U.S. Survey 103; thence southeastwardly, along the
northeast line of Lots 10 and 11 of such Estate, to the
eastern corner of said Lot 11; thence southwestwardly, along
the southeastern lines of said Lot 11 and Lot 8 of such
Estate, a distance of approximately 1500 feet to the
southeast corner of said Lot 8, which corner is also an angle
point of the intersection of a southwest line of U.S. Survey
105, and a northwestern line of said U.S. Survey 105, which
line is referred to in aforesaid District Ordinance No. 548
as "the west line" of such U.S. Survey 105; thence
southwestwardly along the southeast line of said Lot 8 and
continuing along the southeast line of Lot 7 of such Estate,
which line is also a northwest line of aforesaid U.S. Survey
105, and which is referred to in aforesaid Ordinance No. 548
as "the west line" of such U.S. Survey 105, a distance of
approximately 720 feet to its intersection with the existing
boundary of the District, as extended by such Ordinance No.
548; thence continuing southwestwardly along such U.S. Survey
line and District boundary as extended by such Ordinance No.
548, to its intersection with the northwest line of aforesaid
Vaile Avenue; thence continuing southwestwardly along such
northwest line of Vaile Avenue and along such District
boundary, to the point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation
was signed by the majority of the owners who own more than one-
half of the land in said area.
Section Three. That the interests of sanitation and

public health of the District will be promoted by including the
area in its territory.
Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek
Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above-
described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall
be filed in offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County,
the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis and the Secretary
of State.
