AN ORDINANCE, amending Ordinance No. 353, adopted
December 17, 1959, by changing the permit and inspection fee in
Section Four thereof from Nine Dollars ($9.00) for each connection
to Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) for each connection, and changing the
connection repair permit and inspection fee in Section Five
thereof from Nine Dollars ($9.00) to Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) for
each connection, and changing the construction permit fee in
Section Six from Twenty Dollars ($20.00) to Thirty Dollars
($30.00) for each construction permit fee.
WHEREAS, the cost to the District of issuing a permit
and inspecting the sewer connection, both for a new connection and
a repair, is $14.36 instead of the fee of $9.00 authorized in
aforesaid Ordinance No. 353, and cost of issuing a construction
permit is $28.67 instead of the authorized fee of $20.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. Ordinance No. 353 as adopted December
17, 1959, is hereby amended by striking from Sections Four and
Five thereof the words and figures "Nine Dollars ($9.00)" and
adding in lieu thereof the words and figures "Fifteen Dollars
($15.00)."
Section Two. Ordinance No. 353 is hereby amended by
striking from Section Six thereof the words and figures "Twenty
Dollars ($20.00)" and adding in lieu thereof the words and figures
"Thirty Dollars ($30.00)."
Section Three. Sections Four, Five and Six of Ordinance
No. 353 as hereby amended shall read as follows:
"Section Four. Each applicant for a connection permit
shall, at the time of filing an application, pay to the District a
permit and inspection fee in the sum of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00)
for each connection."
"Section Five. Each applicant for a connection repair
permit shall, at the time of filing application, pay to the
District a connection repair permit and inspection fee in the sum
of Fifteen Dollars ($15.00) for each connection."
"Section Six. Each applicant for a construction permit
shall, at the time of filing application, pay to the District a
fee for the issuance of a construction permit in the sum of Thirty
Dollars ($30.00), together with the estimated fees hereinafter
provided, and shall state on such application the date on which
construction is planned to start, an estimate of the total number
of working days required to complete all items of the project and
the approximate date of completion." The foregoing Ordinance was adopted September 26, 1973.
