HomeMy Public PortalAbout02507 O R D I N A N C E NO. 2507 AN ORDINANCE, authorizing and directing the Executive Director and the Secretary-Treasurer, to make, execute and deliver, and to attest, a contract between and among St. Louis County, Missouri ("County"), the City of Crestwood ("Crestwood"), and The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District ("District") whereby it is agreed that the District shall construct storm sewer improvements in the Meacham Park area of St. Louis County, Missouri, and the City of Crestwood, pursuant to a grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT: Section One. The Executive Director is hereby authorized to make, execute and deliver for and on behalf of the District, and the Secretary-Treasurer is hereby authorized to attest, a certain contract between and among the District, the County and Crestwood in substantially the form presented therein, which is attached hereto, whereby it is agreed that the District shall construct storm sewer improvements in the Meacham Park area of St. Louis County, Missouri, and the City of Crestwood; that the County shall pay the District One Hundred Forty-six Thousand Nine Hundred Seventeen Dollars ($146,917.00) for the performance of services in the Meacham Park area; that Crestwood shall pay the District One Hundred Two Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-five Dollars ($102,525.00) for the performance of services in the City of Crestwood; and that the District, pursuant to a grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, shall contribute sums equal to those of the County and Crestwood toward the construction in their respective areas is hereby confirmed. Section Two. This Ordinance being for the confirmation of a contract for sewer construction and the sewers to be constructed being necessary for the protection of the public health, constitutes an emergency within the meaning of the Plan, and this Ordinance shall be and become effective immediately upon its adoption. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted December 12, 1973.
