AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Mississippi River
Subdistrict to include an area of St. Louis County, Missouri,
which could be efficiently served by the sewer or drainage
facilities of the District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict.
WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the
owners of the land in said area who own all of the land area
therein praying for annexation to The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer
District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District and the Mississippi River Subdistrict, and can
drain all of its sanitary sewage into existing sewers within the
District and such Subdistrict, that the interests of sanitation
and public health of the District will be promoted by including
the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 13 of Clayton Hills,
a subdivision of St. Louis County, Missouri, according to the
plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 46, Page 32 of the St.
Louis County Records, which is a point on the original
boundary of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and
also the northwest corner of Ballas Hills Ranch subdivision;
thence southwardly, along the western line of said Ballas
Hills Ranch subdivision and Bali Hai Estates II subdivision
and part of the Bon Coeur Estates subdivision to a point in
the western line of Lot 3 of said Bon Coeur Estates
subdivision, all of which are subdivisions of St. Louis
County, Missouri, according to the plats thereof recorded
respectively in Plat Book 68, Page 33, Plat Book 105, Page 30
and Plat Book 147, Page 99 of the St. Louis County Records,
which west line is a part of the original boundary of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District, the aforesaid point in
the western line of Lot 3 of such Bon Coeur Estates is also
the southeast corner of property now or formerly of W. R. and
F. E. Fridley, as recorded in Book 3734, Page 553 of the St.
Louis County Records; thence westwardly along the south line
of said Fridley property, and thence continuing along the
south line of property now or formerly of Ida S. Allison, as
recorded in Book 5293, Page 574 of the St. Louis County
Records; and thence continuing along the westward
prolongation of the south line of said Allison property to
its intersection with the western right-of-way line of
Interstate Highway 244; thence northwardly along said western
Interstate Highway Right-of-Way line, part of which is also a
part of the existing District boundary as extended by
Ordinance No. 2447, adopted June 20, 1973, to a point in the
former south line of said Clayton Hills subdivision, which is
also a point on the original District boundary; thence
eastwardly, along the now or former south line of said
Clayton Hills subdivision, which is also a part of the
original District boundary, to the point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petition praying for annexation
was signed by the owners of the land in said area who own all of
the land area of the area to be served.
Section Three. That the interest of sanitation and
public health of the District will be promoted by including the
area in its territory.
Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and of the Mississippi River
Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above-
described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall
be filed in offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis County,
the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis and the Secretary
of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted February 13, 1974.
