AN ORDINANCE to extend the boundaries of The
Metropolitan St Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk
Subdistrict of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to
include an area of St. Louis County which could be efficiently
served by the sewer facilities of the District and the Coldwater
Creek Trunk Subdistrict.
WHEREAS, a petition to the Board of Trustees of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District has been received from the
majority of the owners of the land in said area, who own more than
one-half of the area therein, praying for annexation to the
District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District; and
WHEREAS, this area adjoins The Metropolitan St. Louis
Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek Trunk Subdistrict, and the
existing sewers of the District and Subdistrict are adequate to
handle all of its sanitary sewage, that the interest of sanitation
and public health of the District will be promoted by including
the area in its territory; and that the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
OF THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. That the Board finds that the sewer
facilities of the District can efficiently serve the area
described as follows:
Beginning at the northeastern most corner of the boundary of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District as extended by
Ordinance No. 2304, adopted June 8, 1972, which corner was
therein described as being the point of intersection of the
centerline of Missouri State Highway No. 140 and the
centerline of Lewis and Clark Boulevard (also known as U. S.
Highway No. 67); thence northwardly along said centerline of
Lewis and Clark Boulevard to its intersection with the
southern line of the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad
Right-of-Way; thence southeastwardly along said southern line
of said Railroad Right-of-Way to its intersection with the
northernmost corner of property now or formerly of Paul W.
Noel, et al., as conveyed by instrument recorded in Book
2878, Page 455 of the St. Louis County records; thence
southwestwardly, along the west line of said Noel property, a
distance of approximately 206 feet to the westernmost corner
of said Noel property; thence continuing southwestwardly, in
a straight line, to the northernmost corner of property now
or formerly of Elmer R. Party and wife, as conveyed by
instrument recorded in Book 2814, Page 409 of the St. Louis
County records; thence southwestwardly along the west line of
said Party property and thence continuing along the west line
of property now or formerly of Eugene E. Koenn and wife, as
conveyed by instrument recorded in Book 3158, Page 604 of the
St. Louis County records to the southwestern corner of said
Koenn property, said corner being also a point on the
northern line of the "Subdivision of the Jonas Todd Estate",
a subdivision recorded in Deed Book 446, Page 208 of the St.
Louis City (former County) records; thence westwardly, along
said subdivision line, a distance of approximately 720 feet
to the northeast corner of property now or formerly of Joseph
E. Cacioppo, et al.; thence southwardly along the east line
of said Cacioppo property and the southward prolongation of
said east line, a distance of approximately 1360 feet, to its
intersection with the centerline of New Jamestown Road, 60
feet wide; thence westwardly and northwestwardly along the
centerline of New Jamestown Road to its intersection with the
aforesaid centerline of Lewis and Clark Boulevard; thence
northwardly along said centerline of Lewis and Clark
Boulevard, part of which is part of the existing District
boundary as extended by Ordinance No. 2304, adopted June 8,
1972, to the point of beginning.
Section Two. That the petitions praying for
annexation were signed by the majority of the owners of all of the
land in said area who own more than one-half of the land area of
the area to be served.
Section Three. That the interest of sanitation and
public health of the District will be promoted by including the
area in its territory.
Section Four. That the sewage flow from the area
proposed to be annexed has no available outlet through public
sanitary sewers other than those of the District.
Section Five. The corporate boundaries of The
Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District and the Coldwater Creek

Trunk Subdistrict are hereby extended so as to include the above
described area.
Section Six. Certified copies of this Ordinance shall
be filed in the offices of the Recorder of Deeds of St. Louis
County, the Recorder of Deeds of the City of St. Louis, and the
Secretary of State. The foregoing Ordinance was adopted July 31, 1974.
